Once a month our Vice President of Public Relations recognizes a woman in the chapter for either PR Princess or Sarah Ida Shaw of the Month. We are so proud of the women who were selected for the month of March!
The March PR Princess is Shauna Plesmid. Shauna is a junior from the DC area. She sets a great example for our sisters as the current Community Service Chair. She organizes weekly community service activities for sisters to volunteer in and manages to balance all her hard work with Tri Delta with various organizations she is involved in. To name a few, Shauna is a Student Ambassador and works for Outriggers. There is not a moment where you don’t see this bubbly gal with a smile on her face. Shauna inspires her sisters to get involved and be open to new things. Thanks for everything you do Shauna and congrats Miss PR Princess!
The Sarah Ida Shaw of the Month award was given to senior Lisl Magboo. Lisl studies public relations and works in JMU’s Office of Public Affairs. She served as our academic chair last year and always remained devoted to our sisters. One of the lines in the Tri Delta creed is “to develop qualities of unselfish leadership among its members”. Lisl exemplifies this line perfectly as she lead her chapter in numerous roles. On top of being academic chair, Lisl also was a Rho Gamma in 2011 fall recruitment. Her commitment to serve potential new members in a non-biased way was beneficial to the women in her group and they all were able to find the perfect chapter for them. Lisl is one of the most sincere, classy, and optimistic people I know. She is someone the whole chapter looks up to and truly lives the ritual. Sarah Ida Shaw would be so proud of you Lisl– and we are all so thankful to have you as a sister!
Congratulations again to Shauna and Lisl. They are amazing sisters of the Gamma Tau chapter and inspire the rest of us to represent the chapter in the same positive light they do. We love you ladies!
